Homemade Engine Fin Cleaning Brush.

A rather simple but effective solution for cleaning between engine fins. (Please See Pictures Below)
I used a spare strip of aluminium I had in the garage which was of the correct thickness to provide a good fit for barrel fins.
I’ve covered the exposed metal with shrink tubing just so no damage is caused when cleaning the fins from metal to metal contact.
I then used the self adhesive hook material of hook and loop tape (Velcro) and attached the aluminium strip making sure there are no exposed metal corners.
To make sure it bonded I clamped it in a vice to help it key for a good long time (about 24 Hours).
I've used it in conjunction with Jizer cleaning fluid or 3 in 1 Heavy duty Degreaser Cleaner spray and it works well.
If it wears out simply replace the hook tape with some more.
